How the laser works
Laser hair removal uses precisely controlled pulses of energy which are absorbed by the melanin or pigment in the hair. Once it reaches active hair follicles, the energy heats the hair right down to the root, safely destroying it without damaging the surrounding tissue or skin. Hair growth occurs in cycles, so a series of treatments are needed to eliminate and reduce the growth each time. We advise a consistent treatment of hair on the face every four weeks and on the body, once every six weeks.
What to expect during treatment
Your practitioner will start with the preparation of the skin, clearly marking the area to be treated to ensure absolute precision. The laser machines hand piece is then moved over the area of the skin and activated. During this process you’re likely to feel no pain, although some report a mild stinging sensation much like an elastic band snapping on the skin. Throughout the procedure you will be given protective eyewear.
Post – treatment
Once the treatment has finished, the laser practitioner will apply aloe vera gel to cool the skin.Any redness in the treated areas will soon disappear, and you will notice the results almost immediately after your first session, depending on the area being treated.We ask clients to keep their aloe vera gel in the fridge to continue application for a few days after treatment.
