As we know, stretch marks are silvery white lines that traverse on the surface of the skin just like veins or arteries. Stretch marks result from the skin stretching beyond its limit and losing its elasticity. Losing elastin and the disrupted production of collagen causes the skin to have stretch marks on the top layer of skin.

Recommended Treatment: Dermapen Microneedling and/or Microdermabrasion

Micro-needling kickstarts the skin to naturally rejuvenate and revitalise leaving your skin healthy and glowing.  The Dermapen is passed over the area to be treatment, inserting tiny needles into the skin. This leaves minute puncture wounds which triggers the body’s wound healing response and encourages the body to renew skin cells in that area. While the skin is repairing, the production of collagen and elastin is increased, plumping the area and causing a reduction in wrinkles, scarring and sun damage.

Microdermabrasion is a progressive treatment with no discomfort to the face or body. Clients can see results from the first treatment, and with each subsequent treatment the intensity can be increased to reach deeper layers of the skin with the aim of removing acne scarring, lifting pigmentation and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. During the treatment, a wand of abrasive crystals is passed over the damaged skin as the vacuum collects the dead skin particles. The vacuum stimulates blood flow, leading to the skin’s own rejuvenation, encouraging its production of collagen and elastin.
